Upgrades include at-seat power, LED lighting, a new blue livery and refreshed interiors with refurbished seating.

In partnership with Southeastern and Eversholt Rail, Alstom announces a major refurbishment of its Class 376 Electrostar fleet. Alstom will be specifically responsible for the engineering and supply of all materials for the interior's refurbishment and the installation of seat power in each train.

„By delivering a refreshed, modernized fleet with enhanced passenger amenities and operational efficiency, we’re ensuring these Derby-built trains continue to provide reliable and comfortable journeys for Southeastern’s customers,“ said Peter Broadley, Commercial Director UK and Ireland at Alstom.

Work is already underway at Southeastern's Ashford Maintenance Centre. The first units to receive the new blue livery and LED lighting will be in customer service from the spring. The interior refresh, which includes refurbished seats and a full repaint, will begin later this summer at the Grove Park depot. The first units are expected to be in customer service before the end of the year.

“This builds on the upgrades across our other fleets, and the newer trains we are bringing in, as well as the ongoing procurement of new trains to replace our older Networkers,“ commented Mark Johnson, Engineering Director at Southeastern.
