PKP Cargo is introducing a new Qualified Supplier System aimed at streamlining procurement procedures and making purchasing processes faster and more predictable for both the company and its business partners.
The new model is designed to reduce administrative burden for suppliers by allowing qualification documents and declarations to be submitted once and remain valid for a defined period. This means companies will no longer need to provide the same documentation repeatedly for each separate tender procedure.
For PKP Cargo, the system creates a database of pre-verified suppliers whose ability to deliver contracts has already been assessed on the basis of submitted documentation. The company says this should make procurement more consistent, improve responsiveness to operational needs and support uniform purchasing standards across the PKP Cargo group.
The scale of the change is significant. PKP Cargo carries out around 6,050 procurement procedures each year, underlining the potential impact of a system intended to simplify and standardise supplier participation.
The company presents the rollout of the Qualified Supplier System as part of a broader push to improve operational efficiency and build more transparent, structured relationships with the supplier market.
